Variations: Children might also enjoy building snow people out of their snowballs. They can stack the balls to make snowmen and add features such as raisins for eyes and licorice whips for hair.

While the kids are eating, I'll read some poetry to help us feel cold:
White Fieldsby James StephensIn the winter time we goWalking in the fields of snow;Where there is no grass at all;Where the top of every wall,Every fence and every tree,Is as white, as white can be.
Pointing out the way we came,Everyone of them the same-All across the fields there bePrints in silver filigree; And our mothers always know,By our footprints in the snow,Where the children go.

Oh, sounds like fun. I think of you so often. We got teased by some about the amount of books we brought but I wouldn't change it for the world. Our kids love reading too much and there just isn't much available here. I actually wish we had brought more. There were quite a few books in our flat when we arrived but we are rapidly going through them. The kids read so much more here but the down side is there is no Barnes and Noble to restock the shelves with. Hugs to everyone!
