This afternoon, we went to meet a friend at the airport. Honiara's Henderson Field allows you to go on top of the building and watch the people as they come off the airplane.
The noise was deafening as planes came and went, but honey joys made it a little bit easier to wait. Yum!
And you have to bring signs to accompany the cheers when your friend walks off the plane.
Since the plane was an hour and half late, we passed the time crocheting...
reading books ...
and perusing the plaques commemorating WWII.
But the wait was worth it!

Beautiful hair-dos! I can remember watching the planes come in at Lovefield when I was a little girl - (young girl) probably Sarah's age. Things have really changed! And we could also meet passengers on the tarmac. Next week when I drop Kristin off to go to Chicago - I won't even get out of the car! :(
The girls just get more beautiful with every picture!
Yay for Cynthia! What a sweet lady :-) I was in VMS training with her last fall. I'm glad she's made it back to Honiara. Thanks for all of the updates and pictures on your blog! I can't believe how grown up your kids are getting :-)
I have a little lady asking, "would you be able to do that to my hair!?" Such pretty 'dos! You do spend a lot of time at the airport. I'm glad that everyone find things to do.
Blessings!
Deborah
I can't take any credit for the hair-do's. They are all Naomi's creations, and she's having a blast!
