"I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will mediate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds. Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God? You are the god who performs miracles, you display your power among the peoples."
Psalm 77:11-14
Got my guys down to the wharf last night, with a little help from Naomi and her dad. So thankful for their friendship and for their physical help.
Our kids acted like they were just on a boat yesterday. Hauling cargo over the gap between the wharf and the ship. Thankful for willing hearts, strong bodies, and no fear in my children.
This is where Aaron and Benjamin planned to spend the night. On a crowded ship, they found a small space under the stairs to unroll their mats and settle down for the anticipated ten hour boat ride.
Yet another thing for which to be thankful? All smiles. Not one tear or whine when I said it was time to go home and go to bed. Not from the girls or the boys. Aaron called the house around 9:20 and said the ship was getting to pull out.
And then church this morning. We rode down the hill with Naomi, her dad, and one of the lovely national families that work at SITAG. When it was time for the New Testament reading, I looked over to see Naomi's dad pull out his Gela portions of the New Testament. I about cried and hurriedly sneaked my camera out of my purse, thankful I had brought it. One day, the Lavukal will be able to pull out their New Testament, written in their heart language.

I LOVE seeing that new Bible! Amazing :D
And hurray for your kids - they are true third-culture kids and a testimony of the work of God in their lives.

I'm so struck by the cheerful and willing way that you do the hard things. (Liss)
Praying for the guys in the village and your time in town. I love seeing the scriptures in another language and we are praying for the day you hold your village's in your hand!
