Good afternoon!  It's a hot one here in Honiara today.  Perfect weather for drying all of the village sheets in preparation for nice fresh sheets with which to make the beds on our arrival in Marulaon next week.

We took a break from packing to make a trip to the airport to welcome some colleagues who have been absent for a couple of months.  Yay for SITAG family!

On the way home, we intended to stop at the Kastam Gaden Association to purchase some Chinese cabbage seedlings.  It's located in a rather bad part of town, but we've never had problems before.  When Aaron pulled up in front of the gate (everybody has fences and gates here), there was a very drunk man loitering by the fence.  The man asked for a cigarette, then he asked for money, Aaron politely refused both offers and asked the man to move so we could go in.  The guy wasn't very happy with us, so Aaron quickly rolled up the window and turned the vehicle around.  Then the guy was on my side, and as we drove away, he kicked the side mirror.  I was bummed about not getting the plants; it's a long drive out to KGA from SITAG and the kilometers are expensive.  I called the KGA office to let them know that the drunk guy just might be discouraging customers, and then I made an appointment for Monday morning, pending packing progress.  When we returned to SITAG, some of our employees told us we had done the right thing.  Thanks, Lord, for keeping us safe and for giving us just a little bit of wisdom!
