I tried something new with my cello studio this summer. We held a studio class with the focus of showcasing progres, not perfection. Each student played a piece of music regardless of whether it was "ready", and we all cheered for each other.
I provided brunch, and families poured into the little fellowship hall where one of my student's dad pastors. I think it was a rousing success and plan to do it again next summer!
