A heart of thankfulness...for the cooler weather we are briefly enjoying. What a delight!
I am creating...just finished a simple skirt for Sarah and bought some great paisley pin cord for skirts for all three girls as I try to remember how a sewing machine works again
From the kitchen...tortilla soup and Danish oat bread. We were supposed to have stuffed peppers along with the bread, but the lines at JoAnn Fabrics this afternoon took a little longer than I anticipated, so I swapped Monday and Tuesday meals
I am looking forward to...seeing lots of family in the next few weeks
In the learning rooms...French and Indian War; G. F. Handel; simple machines
Around the house...a chrysalis on the front porch. Anybody know what's inside?
Noticing that...my girls all were so funny yesterday morning while they were dressing for church. They all wore tights and kept commenting how strange the tights looked and felt!
Something I want to remember for later...this bubblegum loving girl & her color coordinating gumball

A few plans for the rest of the week...Texas State Fair tomorrow afternoon, normal church activities on Wednesday night, Dallas Symphony kids' concert on Thursday morning, and we leave to visit some friends & FUMC Minneola, Kansas, on Friday

Have fun at the fair! There is the cutest baby llama in the petting farm and I was wishing I had my boys with me when we saw the remote control racing tracks near the truck exhibits! We tried the fried pecan pie and it was great. :) LOVE the Texas State Fair!

The "people" were divided up after the experiment and devoured by cannibals ;-)

We will pick one (maybe two?) fried goodie to try, but even though the rides are half price on Tuesday, we probably won't be indulging. This is a cheap visit to the fair. We're thankful for Dr. Pepper cans that get us in for $5 today!
