We set aside the weekends in Advent to give or serve a local organization in some capacity. The first weekend in December, we chose Jordana's Joy as the recipient. This nonprofit organization was founded by my cousin and his wife after their daughter spent three months in NICU. 

NICU babies and their families are extra special to us because Benjamin spent the first week of his life, including Christmas, in NICU. Katherine perused the wish list and chose a few things to send to Jordana's Joy.
