Brochure photo

Our friend Joy took this photo from our front yard.  Now you can see how close the ocean is to our house.  How 'bout planning a trip to the Solomon Islands?

Tomorrow morning (Tuesday, Jan 5), we will hop on the Bikoi and head back to Honiara.  I'll continue to post and update you on our very fun New Year's celebrations when we get back.  Plans change, but right now the ship is scheduled to come to Marulaon at 10:00 a.m. (5 p.m. Monday night, CST).  We appreciate your prayers for an uncrowded and calm trip.

Hi, I found your blog through a mutual friend. That's a lovely photo, such a pretty location.

I saw there was a big earthquake in the Solomon Islands. Have you heard of any damage?

Take care,

Kevin

You definitely have our prayers. It is snowing today, so the Solomon Islands sound really good now.

Love you all.

We had to settle for a condo on the east coast, with cold and dreary weather, for our 20th anniversary. Just for laughs, I did check and it would have cost us about $25,000 and I don't know how many days to reach your sweet islands. Thank you so much for the invitation. Praying for a calm, safe and uncrowded "cruise" for your family today. Looking forward to your return in the space, until then, blessing friend.

Just letting you know we are thinking of you, have fun with Joy (Hi Joy! thanks for your blog too), and hope the earthquake didn't damage/affect you guys too much.

PS we are trying to wrangle a trip to the Solomons but probably in a year or two.

Get OUT! That is your FRONT YARD! How do you get anything done? I suppose you get used to it, but it looks like paradise to me....
