Wednesday, December 18

Our solar panels have been showing zero amps coming into our batteries for a couple of days now.  So, Aaron propped the ladder on the pole holding up our solar panels and proceeded to poke and prod and tighten everything possible in efforts to get some charge into our batteries.  We've experienced many rainy and cloudy days recently, so every bit of sunshine needs to go into our batteries.

When we turned on the radio this morning to try to send and receive e-mail, every station was full of static.  We couldn't hear SITAG during radio sched, and they obviously couldn't hear us.  In addition our e-mail wouldn't connect to Honiara all day long.

Olivia and Sarah planted a few peanuts recently, and today they noticed the peanuts had some blooms!  Peanuts are a new endeavor for us, we like learning new things.

One of the things I love about living out here in Marulaon Village is how much better we get to observe the sunrise, stars, and moon.  The skies cleared enough last night that the full moon woke up up shining in my window on its descent.  Tonight, I will be closing one of my curtains so I can sleep!
