Choate Update

Dear Friends of the Choates,
Unfortunately we are still having a lot of trouble with the radio email program.  That is preventing the Choates from keeping in contact with everyone as much as they would enjoy.  We are continuing to work on that situation.

The Choates are doing well in the village.  This past weekend a MK (missionary kid) friend of Sarah and her mother went out to their village to spend Sarah’s birthday together.  It was a wet and windy time, but everyone still enjoyed it.  Sarah had a good birthday.  She made herself a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles.  They didn’t get to go swimming in the ocean due to the wind and rain, but she said she enjoyed her day.

Next week is election week here in the Solomon Islands.  There are a lot of “big men” coming to their village over the weekend.  Joanna will be helping with some of the cooking for them.  Aaron is hoping that he will have a chance to meet with them about the translation project.  Please keep them in your prayers as they have a busy weekend ahead of them.

As always, if you have any questions or comments or any information to pass along to the Choates please feel free to write to deputy.solomon.islands@sil.org and I will pass that along at the daily radio sked.
Sincerely,
Andy Pierce
Deputy Director
