Sweet Sabbath

"Gratitude represents a paradigm shift away from the value system of our culture that promotes a reductive, consumptive , competitive, and acquisitive lifestyle, and toward a slower, fuller, connected, and generous lifestyle celebrated by the Sabbath."

I'm so thankful for people who do the work of providing a bountiful variety of heirloom seeds. Planting seeds slows me down, makes me wait for the miracle of growth, and reminds me that I am not in control as I watch the sprout push through the earth and blossom. Hopefully, we will have enough beautiful beans to share with others this summer as we welcome people around our table.
