December (1st half)

December is always full of music, and the first concert for our family was the CBC string quartet. These students have worked hard this semester.

Aaron continued to work virtually with the Lavukal Translation Team, his office hours shifted to match Solomon Island time which meant he was working 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. our time.

Sarah sang in White Christmas with Family Music Theater in Dallas.

My CBC crew had another opportunity to serve our community by playing Christmas songs for our local Master Gardeners chapter.

We drove up to John Brown University to hear Olivia sing and to worship along with their Candlelight Concert.

Advent began, and although we often felt rushed amidst all the school and music commitments,

we took time to read through The Art of Advent at breakfast.

We also used our family daily Advent tags to connect across the miles.

Knowing that the day we read Colossians 3:12 (with the reminder to clothe ourselves with kindness and compassion) in central Arkansas, each of our young adults was reading the same thing and opening matching pajamas in their own homes.

Or dorm room :)

And when we were making St. Nicholas Purse Cookies and sharing them,

the other members of our family were doing the same thing in their own spaces.
