One of our Solomon Island friends, Hellen, is participating in the paralympics in London. Another friend in Honiara recently posted this after visiting with Helen's family:
They mentioned to me that they thought Hellen would never leave the house, not having legs that she could walk on, but one of her aunties laughed proudly and said "We thought she would be stuck here forever, and now here we are, drinking coffee in the village, and she is in London, outdoing us all." Hellen is an ispiration to us all.
We are cheering for you and praying for you, Hellen!
