One of the things we are loving about being back in America is all of the museums!

We discovered that the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art hosts "Wacky Wednesdays", a free admission morning for families.  Their theme last Wednesday was books (how perfect for our family!), and the craft was making cute corner bookmarks.

Benjamin admired a renaissance statue of the archangel Michael,

but my favorite was this painting of a musician with his gamba (the early form of a cello).

After we walked around the museum, we enjoyed a picnic on the beautiful grounds of Overton Park.

Our kids still get thrilled when they see squirrels.  At least they don't call those furry things rats anymore!
